- Country Indicators for Foreign Policy
The CIFP Project seeks to identify and assemble statistical information conveying various aspects of countries around the world. Includes project papers and research output, plus a searchable database.
- Political Research Online
PROL is a collaborative project among political science associations that acts as a pre-print server that allows for searches of papers (published and unpublished) online.
- International Political Economy Network
Electronic archives, journals, an online discussion group and educational resources for the rapidly expanding field of international political economy.
- Parliamentary Network on the World Bank
The PNoWB is an advocacy and accountability network of parliamentarians that interface with the World Bank in order to render Bank development projects more consistent with the parliaments of sovereign democratic nations.
- International Relations Theory
An excellent site that contains a large knowledge base of key concepts in international relations theory. The site also includes a discussion list as well as other online links. An alternative portal is the International Studies Association site.
- International Affairs Forum
Maintained by the Center for International Relations in Washington, D.C., that provides annotated links to (external) writings on many topics in international affairs, such as international economics and trade, terrorism, globalization, and regions such as the Middle East, the Balkans, and China.
- Social, Economic and Political Change
Contains reports by a group of academics working on social change projects, together with papers on key sociological theories on globalization, development, economic growth and the like. The site also includes a host of links to bibliographies, software, data, and links.
- Social Choice Bibliography
A major resource for those looking for a bibliography on the vast field of social choice theory. The bibliography, maintained by Jerry Kelly at Syracuse, contains thousands (in the excess of 4,000 at last count) of entries, sorted by author last name.
- Academic Council on the United Nations System
The ACUNS, currently hosted at Wilfrid Laurier University in Canada, is an interdisciplinary research body that collects documents and publications by an international association of scholars, teachers & practitioners active in studying the United Nations system.
- International Crisis Group
An important international politics resource, the ICG provides excellent coverage of the key issues involved in areas of conflict internationally, and its reports serve as important background to understanding the political economy aspects of international crises.
- Transparency International
Transparency International is an NGO dedicated to curbing national and international corruption. The site includes their flagship Corruption Perceptions Index that ranks corruption according to up to 14 survey sources.
- WWW Virtual Library International Affairs Resources
An extensive site with a large range of links to resources related to international affairs. Its enormosity makes navigation of the site a full-day affair. See also alternatives provided by the Library of the University of British Columbia and the Canadian Institute of International Affairs.
- Sociology Online
A very comprehensive online clearinghouse, maintained by Tony Fitzgerald, that contains a vast collection of sociology-related information. Interesting sections include "introduction" sections to major schools in sociology, a news section, a section on politics and society, and annotated links to websites covering globalization and global thought.
- Political Methodology
This is the homepage for the Society of Political Methodology, which includes links to a working paper archive, the Political Methodologist newsletter, an online journal (Political Analysis), and various computing resources of use to those researching at the intersection of formal political science and economics.
- Presidential Vote Equation
Ray Fair, from Yale, provides econometric analysis of the US presidential vote, with predictions. This site contains links to his papers on the subject as well as some commentary. An alternative is John Iron's Election Calculator.
